Kanika's art renders tales from history and mythology into a modern style. She is drawn to not just the story but to the characters which allow her to present them in discreet and meticulous details. As characters evolve and express themselves, her artwork forms a narrative of their message. She primarily uses monochromatic colours and palettes to heighten the narrative and draw out emotions rather than vistas. Using pen on paper mostly as her medium, her art desires to connect the world of mythology with today's contemporary society.
